Peter Phillips and Seb Coe make appearance at the British Grand Prix (2024)

Peter Phillips looked to be in high spirits as he attended the British Grand Prix this morning.

The King's nephew, 46, appeared ready for action as he arrived at Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire with the President of the International Association of Athletics Federations, Sebastian Coe.

Princess Anne's son dressed for the temperamental British summer weather, teaming a light button-down shirt with a waterproof gilet and sunglasses.

Elsewhere, Lord Coe - who had just earlier this week chatted with the Princess of Wales's mother, Carole Middleton at Wimbledon - wore white trousers, a navy quarter zip and a suede jacket.

The King's nephew - who had for years worked in Formula 1 -is often spotted at races, and was pictured at the Grand Prix yesterday as well.

He appeared ready to watch the action in a black waterproof zip-up worn over a navy jersey and white shirt.

Peter, who has had a number of career ventures over his life, has recently returned to F1 as head of partner acquisition for the sports and entertainment rights agency CSM Sport & Entertainment.

He has also in the past worked with start-up teamStewart Grand Prix - later Jaguar Racing - and Williams.

Peter was recently spotted packing on the PDA with his new girlfriend Harriet - as the pair attended day four of the Royal Ascotlast month.

The loved up couple was pictured kissing as they attended the equestrian event in Berkshire.

He hadhad embarked on his new romance with Harriet, who is an NHS nurse, just weeks after separating from his partner of three years.

In May, the couple spent the weekend together at the Badminton Horse Trial where they were spotted strolling hand in hand.

And the pair didn't hold back on affections this afternoon either as they were snapped leaning into one another and sharing sweet glances.

After an affectionate peck with her boyfriend, Harriet was spotted enjoying an animated chat with Queen Camilla.

And it seems Peter's family are keen on his new romance, as his cousin Princess Beatrice was also snapped giving her a warm hug and kiss on greeting.

It comes as his mother earlier this month said she was 'deeply saddened' to miss out on the First World War commemoration event in Canada as she continues to recover after being struck by a horse.

The 73-year-old Princess Royal suffered concussion and head injuries when she was hurt at her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire more than a week ago.

The King's sister is now recuperating at her Gatcombe Park home following a five-night hospital stayafter she was believed to have been struck by the animal while out walking on June 23.

Anne was due to travel to Canada for an overseas tour at the beginning of July, but is now away from public engagements until her medical team recommends it is safe and comfortable for her to resume official duties.

The princess, who left hospital on Friday, said in her first publicly-released message since her accident: 'It is with deep regret that I am unable to be with you today, as you commemorate the brave efforts and sacrifices of the members of the Newfoundland Regiment who went into battle on the first day of the Somme.

'I have fond memories of joining you in 2016, on the 99th occasion that the people of this island commemorated the Battle of Beaumont Hamel, and I am deeply saddened that I'm unable to join you again, and I send you my warmest best wishes on this special day of commemoration.'

The Newfoundland Regiment was all but wiped out in the disastrous Battle of Beaumont Hamel on the first day of the Battle of the Somme, with more than 700 killed or wounded of the 800 fighting.

It is not known how long the princess will spend recovering, but she is receiving rehabilitation support at home as she follows standard concussion protocols.
